Raymond J. Haigney, DDS

Dr. Raymond Haigney is one of the most highly trained oral and maxillofacial surgeons in the country. Dr. Haigney graduated from Loyola University, Chicago College of Dental Surgery, and went on to complete a hospital internship at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics. He then completed his oral and maxillofacial surgical residency at Emory University School of Medicine, Department of Surgery in Atlanta, GA.

During residency, Dr. Haigney received unsurpassed experience in dental implants, wisdom tooth extraction, corrective jaw surgery, temporomandibular disorders, facial trauma, reconstructive facial surgery, head & neck cancer, as well as specialized training in sleep apnea.

After five years of group practice in the Midwest, Dr. Haigney went back to complete a prestigious accredited Fellowship in Facial Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS. He is credentialed in all areas of facial plastic and reconstructive surgical procedures at Charlotte’s main hospitals. He regularly performs cosmetic surgery for facelifts, rhinoplasty (noses), otoplasty (ears), endoscopic browlifts, necklifts, and blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery). He also extensively treats facial trauma and reconstructive surgery cases. It is common for other surgeons in the southeast to refer difficult cases and those that have had complications to doctor Haigney because of his unique training and experience.

Dr. Haigney possesses dual board certification. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery as well as being a Diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He has been Chairman of the department of oral & maxillofacial surgery and on several hospital committees’ in the Charlotte region. Currently, he is on the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Institute of Medicine, a position appointed by Governor Pat McCrory.
