Is it Dangerous to Ignore Snoring? Many people snore. Comedians for years have used snoring in their bits to the delight of their audiences. While it is fun to laugh at snoring, it is also something people need to learn more about.

Whether they are the one that snore or if it is something else, it is a good idea to see what is behind the snoring. It could be something that is temporary, or it could be a sign of a bigger problem. Everyone should take the time to learn when they should not ignore the snoring.

What Causes Snoring

Snoring is the result of air not moving freely during sleep. When the air passageways are blocked, it causes the tissues in the sinuses and mouth to vibrate creating the noise associated with snoring. There are many things that can lead to the blockage of the air passageways. It is important to learn why the snoring is happening to determine what to do about it.

The Dangers of Snoring

Snoring can lead couples to sleep in separate rooms, but it is also a sign of potential health problems. One of the most commonly associated causes of snoring is sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is a condition where a person stops breathing for periods of time as they sleep. The dangerous of this is the brain can become deprived of the oxygen it needs. Most people don't realize they have sleep apnea. If they are snoring, it is a song that they may have this problem and can convince them to get tested for sleep apnea.

There are other risks associated with snoring that include cardiovascular problems and problems associated with not getting the proper rest a body needs. Because of all the problems connected to snoring, it is always best to find out the cause instead of putting the earplugs in and ignoring it.
