REPLACE MISSING TEETH

Dental implants are commonly recommended for patients who have lost teeth due to decay or injury. Titanium anchors are inserted into the bone and covered by a dental cap or denture. After the implant is placed, a replacement tooth or bridge is attached to it.

At Lake Norman Oral & Facial Surgery, we offer a full range of implant solutions. Dr. Haigney's advanced training at Loyola Dental School, University of Iowa Hospital, and Emory University ensures you receive the highest standard of care.

THE IMPLANT PROCESS

01
Consultation
Schedule a consultation to discuss your goals. An evaluation determines available options and the best approach for your specific needs.
02
Procedure
Under local anesthetic, an incision provides jawbone access. Implants are carefully inserted and gums stitched. Time is allowed for the jawbone to merge with the implant.
03
Healing
A healing period of 3-6 months allows the jawbone to integrate with the implant through osseointegration, creating a stable foundation.
04
Restoration
Once healed, a follow-up appointment is scheduled to attach your custom crown or bridge, completing your new smile.
